AcralMed Sponge Receptacle
The sponge receptacle may seem like a small part of the operating room, but it serves an important purpose. This stainless steel medical receptacle rolls easily throughout the surgical suite. The term sponge receptacle is similar to a kick bucket, as surgical staff move it with their feet. Think of it as the operating room’s medical soccer ball that helps keep score. Staff primarily use it to collect surgical sponges and other waste during procedures. At the end of surgery, sponges must be accounted for, and the sponge receptacle plays an essential part for nurses or technicians to count every sponge.
These sponge receptacles feature 2-inch neoprene, non-marking casters that roll smoothly across the operating room. The casters provide excellent traction, even on wet or slippery floors.
A red rubber perimeter bumper protects walls, equipment, and furniture from accidental contact during use. This added protection helps preserve valuable operating room equipment.
Each kick bucket includes a removable9.5-quart stainless steel basin.. Staff can quickly remove the basin for emptying and cleaning. Rubber supports hold the basin securely in place for quiet, stable movement throughout the operating room.
A reinforced gusset beneath the frame provides exceptional strength and stability. The durable frame supports heavy loads without compromising performance. This rugged construction delivers dependable service through years of daily operating room use.
Like all our products, the sponge receptacle is backed by our 2-year manufacturers limited warranty.
